The National Theatre Melbourne presents
Dads Have Feelings Too
April 19-21, 6:30pm
Uncle Nath is letting out the pain. Presented by The National Theatre Melbourne as part of its 2017 Melbourne International Comedy Festival curated program, Dads Have Feelings Too is a warm tale of a well intention-ed dad hanging by a thread.
The show is an explosive ride – but even as Uncle Nath endures constant defeat at every turn, you’ll never once hear him swear. Uncle Nath prides himself on delivering sharp adult stand up without the profanities, which means the show can be enjoyed by the whole family.
“Yep, all these years later and the swear-jar is still empty,” he says.
“When I first started doing stand up I was advised to keep it clean and clever. So I have been able to perform in all kinds of places, including churches!”
Uncle Nath says the show has been three years in the making – which means three years of stocking up on ‘dad material’. After previewing to audiences in his hometown of Newcastle, Uncle Nath is looking forward to sharing his hilarious show for the first time with Melbourne audiences at the 2017 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Original and witty, it weaves together a series of strange mid-life-crisis cures, with some moving moments and plenty of jokes, giving festival goers “something different”.
“I want dads to be able to bring their children along and say to their kids ‘See what I deal with?’”
