The National Theatre Drama School in Melbourne is Victoria’s longest-established actor-training institution, and one of the leading acting schools in Australia. Based in its own purpose-built facilities in St Kilda, the school offers a range of full time and part time acting courses in stage performance, and in acting for film and television.

The Advanced Diploma of Acting (course number 10073NAT) is a nationally-accredited, full-time, vocational-training course which aims to prepare students for professional careers as actors and performance-makers in theatre, film, television and new media. The course runs over three years and eligible students may be able to get government assistance to support them in their studies.

As well as a professional actor training component, our drama courses also include development of related skills including directing, producing, design and writing for stage and screen.
