Front of House Attendants (Casual)
The National Theatre Melbourne has been a vital part of Melbourne’s creative landscape since 1920. This historic 1920’s Beau-Art venue offers opulent classical architecture as well as state of the art technical facilities. The National Theatre’s 783 seat theatre play’s host to and caters for a broad range of community and commercial hire groups each year.
We are in search of skilled individuals with proven experience in a hospitality/functions and events environment to fill the casual positions of: Front of House Service Attendants –(Usher), Bar, and Box Office Attendants where you will provide outstanding customer service in a busy service driven environment.
Applicants for any position within the National Theatre Front of House team must be prepared to multi skill in a variety of front of house roles.
Front of House Service Attendants provide a multi skilled service including roles of door attendant, program sales, food and beverage service and other duties as required.
Bar Attendants duties are predominately food and beverage, functions services, bar attendant tasks, stock control and cash handling. You must have a current RSA certificate, previous experience in a customer service / retail environment, including cash handling through to the reconciliation of takings. Barrister skills would be valued.
Box Office Attendants will be delivering ticket sale services in a speedy, courteous, accurate and considerate manner. Regular processing of ticketing reports, balancing daily ticketing cash float, daily banking, receipting and reconciliation of ticket sales and general office duties is to be expected. You will have strong computer skills and a demonstrated ability to learn new software programs. Experience in box office ticketing systems, policies and procedures, is preferred, but not essential.
